Day 1 β
Today has reconfirmed I have very little upper body strength π
From lifting and hauling stage decking to screwing in bolts and postioning stage legs, my arms will definitely be sore for a couple of days! It’s been a while since I’ve felt the joy of accomplishment, being able to see the benefits of a good days hard work πͺ that is after getting my head around the fact that the stage is straight!
Built on a hill, the back of the stage stands the same height as me with the front being only a couple of feet off the ground. You forget that you’re stood on a hill and the added illusion of the tent doesn’t make it any easier to comprehend that it is actually level.
Trust me we tested.
The professional way with a spirit level and then the fun way by seeing what would roll π a human and a scaffolding pole don’t!
If anything else, I’ll come away with more knowledge. Be that through the random conversations or knowing there is such a thing called a podger…. (look it up π€)
And to top it all off, the sun stook around all day ππππ
Now, to the pub! π»
