So yesterday marked the end of my last first term. Yep, you read that right this is the last time I will be able to say I am at the end of my first term (insert sad face).
In a way this means I can relax, no more broken up days to go to lectures and I can actually catch up on sleep!
However, it does come with its downsides….
It’s Christmas!!! This is a relief although I now have the doubt of whether I will make it home, pausing university commitments to go home and finishing work for deadlines in January! It’s all a go.
Last night I spent my evening in the Radio Studio. We pre-recorded our shows for over the holidays. It was a fun experience although slitghtly tiring and it’s weird how dreary the songs seem when you are not actually broadcasting live. We also had the slight realisation that the version of The Pogues Fairytale of New York was not censored, we tried an inpromptu beep but listening back this will just be an inside joke. If you do find yourselves with nothing to do between 8pm and 10pm on Christmas Day, take a listen – 97.4 FM in the Catnerbury (Kent) area or online at http://www.csrfm.com 🙂 (I’m not very discreet at plugging!)
We did treat ourseleves to a mince pie or two though, even if it is against studio rules 😉 It is christmas after all 😛
After listening to both Radio 1 and 2 throughout the day today, I am now off to watch the BBC music awards from last!!
Cue weird goosepimple feelings from live music! I know I’m weird 🙂
